Accepting just one video call on WhatsApp gives hackers control over your account! (Trending in India )


Facebook-owened messenger app WhatsApp has a deadly bug that allowed cyber criminals take over the account with just accepting one video call.

If the user take a WhatsApp call from a stranger or from a known person, but with ill intention, the letter could take over the target mobile account and syphon off the sensitive information.

The culprit was 'Memory corruption bug in WhatsApp's non-WebRTC video conferencing implementations,' said Natalie Silvanovich, fellow Google Project Zeroexpert.

What's more serious is that the security loop-hole was found in the both of the iOS and Android versions, meaning over billon and half users were vulnerable to getting hacked on WhatsApp.
